This type of seals are used for hands exceeding 30m , the sealing will be obtained due to interference of water pressure between the seal seat and also behind the seal seat and seal and also behind the seal in space between the sealbase plate.

These seals may be used as top , bottom and side seals on heavy gates such seals may be used as bottom seals.
