| Z Seal and L Seal |
|
| |
| Z Type Seal |
These seals are moulded or extruded to the shape required and the sealing effect is obtained partly due to initial
interference with the embedded sealing plate and partly due to the deflection under load. To ensure even
tightening of seals and thus to avoid waviness of the deal, brass spacer tubes may be used. This type of seal is
used on gates on the cresis of dams and weirs.
